This Chevrolet 3100 5 window was built to drive and the builder did just that with it. The truck has 8900 miles on it since its completion. Considering drivability and reliability a 1998 S-10 chassis was used in the build. Advance Design Engineering was called to supply the bolt on chassis swap kits for the 47 to 55 chevy trucks. The truck retains its stock floor in the cab and the stock bed debth in the box. Everything is bolted up not hacked up and welded together like most are. To get the trucks stance dropped spindles on the front and lowering springs were used on both ends. The paint and body on the truck is very nice panel fittment is great also. The finish is  SEM urethane matte black giving  it the old school hot rod look. The belt line was painted with green flake and the tailgate was highlighted with it also. A neat pinstriping job rounds the look out using white and green colors. The front bumper and grille are both new and in excellant condition also. The engine is a Reman 5.7 liter 350 backed by a rebuilt 700r4 overdrive transmission. The engine is a grooms magnum 350 and features coated headers, Edelbrock endurashine intake, Holley 650 carb, Accel electronic ignition and Mr Gasket aluminum valve covers. A new aluminum radiator was used and new dual exhaust was also installed. With using the S10 chassis power steering and 4 wheel power disc brakes are now standard, this along with a complete new wiring harnness make the truck very safe and reliable to drive. On the inside the grey bench seat interior is very nice, first the dash, inside of the cab and doors were stripped and painted grey. Factory style door panels were used as well as a factory style headliner. Dolphin gauges made for the truck were used along with a Lokar shifter. The builder kept the dash clean and hid a AM/FM/CD stereo in the glove box. New window seals,vent seals, door seals and window fuzzies were also installed. The truck has a great sound and look to it being a crowd favorite everywhere it goes around our parts. The truck has very slick paint and trim coupled with the American Racing Torque Thrust Wheels it gives the truck a great look. A trailer hitch was installed to pull a small camper to car shows that have camp grounds. This truck is fresh and very neat everywhere you look.
