1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 - SOLD!!!
In the world of Muscle cars the 1969 Camaro is a leader, in the world of Camaros the Z/28 is one of the most sought after cars. This Camaro is a real Z/28 car with the X77 code. This one has some other things going for it, the car is an original 712 Deluxe interior car also, even more rare is the fact that it has a -- for the paint code meaning special paint. I also removed the cowl panel and pictured the hidden VIN (see pics) The body is in great condition, retaining its original body panels is a big bonus too. The car has no rust and is very straight, the paint has a little age on it but very nice driver quality, meaning it looks great, not full blown show quality but still very nice. No bubbles rust or rot. The interior looks to be mostly original to the car with a new carpet set and a Covan dash insert with Auto Meter gauges. a tilt steering column was used as well as a 3 bar leather wrapped wheel. The interior is very nice everywhere you turn! This is where it gets very interesting, the powerplant is a 400 SBC, the engine is very strong utilizing, Canfield Aluminum heads, steel crankshaft, Comp camshaft, Airgap aluminum intake manifold, 750 Edelbrock carb, HEI distributor, and coated headers. No expense was spared on the build, a new direct fit 4 core radiator was installed with an electric fan, a GM type 2 power steering pump was used and a vaccum pump was intalled to supply the power brakes wih plenty of vaccum. A Nash 5 speed was used in the build along with 9 inch rear axle with 3:73 gearing. The suspension was not left out in the build, the car also handles well. QA-1 coliovers were installed on the front along with power rack and pinion steering, the coliovers allow for a great ride with the option of adjustable ride height. The suspension was rebuilt using all new bushings and Edelbrock shocks in the rear. When you up the power and handling capabilities stopping fast is a must... 4 wheel power disc brakes were added during the build along with new 20 and 18 inch custom wheels with new speed rated rubber. The car has new fuel lines, brake lines and a new fuel tank. The car sounds amazing through the new dual Flowmaster exhaust! No expense was spared in the build!
